Two very special year round houses on a 1 acre lot, 100 meters through a historic settlers cemetery to Kingsburg Beach. One (the Schoolhouse) is a converted c.1840 one room schoolhouse with a sleeping loft. The other (the Beach House) is a 30 year old house, designed by Brian MacKay-Lyons, with two lofts joined by a bridge. As soon as you get out of your car, you will see the ocean and hear the surf. The houses are in excellent condition and are insulated for year round habitation. The Beach House has a new metal roof, a new cedar deck, a new refrigerator, refinished floors, two new skylights and a new hot water heater. Kingsburg Beach is 1 km long and there are rarely more than 8 people on it. Kingsburg, with its two open ocean beaches (Hirtles and Kingsburg), three headlands, three swimming lakes, amphitheatre of hills and miles of hiking, is deemed to be the most beautiful village setting on mainland Nova Scotia. 15 minutes to the charms of Old Town Lunenburg and 80 minutes to Halifax.
